Why we're consulting
In late 2025, we engaged with the community to determine priority equipment for the redevelopment of the Max Gray Park playground. With the existing equipment now due for renewal and an understanding of the community's preferences for equipment within this park, a detailed design has been developed to ensure the new equipment can deliver appropriate opportunities for play and fits within the available budget.
We are now seeking your feedback on which of the two detailed design options would be your preference.
Design 1 responds directly to what the community told us they wanted most, including a variety of swings, two slides, a group spinner and an accessible rocker. Feedback supporting themed play, cubby spaces and role-play has been incorporated through native theming, activity panels and a shopfront integrated within the play structure, creating an inclusive playground that offers something for younger children, older kids and carers to enjoy together.
Design 2 brings together many of the community’s most requested features in one energetic and social playground, including a monorail, double slide, the most popular swing seats, rocker and spinner elements. Stair access, balance play and under-deck role-play spaces reflect feedback for accessible, imaginative and active play options that cater for a wide range of ages and abilities.
