Wodonga Yarn

29 March 2024

On Friday, March 22, council staff attended the Wodonga Yarn which was held at Burraja Cultural Centre.

We had the opportunity to hear from some of our Indigenous community members about their vision for Wodonga 2050.

This was a robust discussion about how we can make Wodonga an even better place to live for all, through a cultural lens.

Priorities for the group included an 'Indigenous Hub' to support connection, education and collaboration, and culturally appropriate services and support.

A graphic recording of the conversation was created by Johnny Murray and can be found below.

To see all of the comments captured during the Wodonga Yarn, read the feedback summary which will form part of the overarching Wodonga 2050 Engagement Snapshot - Stage 3, available from July 2024.
