Why we're consulting
Wodonga Council invites community feedback on its proposed Public Art Policy, which was presented at the Council Meeting on 26 May 2025.
This policy sets out the strategic approach for how the council commissions and acquires public art.
The draft Public Art Policy 2025 has been updated to help shape the council's decision-making process around public art. Its purpose is to provide ongoing guidance for assessing all public art—whether commissioned by the council, received as a donation, or transferred from elsewhere. It also outlines the framework for funding, maintaining, and responsibly retiring public artworks.
Wodonga Council values public trust and is committed to fairness, integrity, and transparency. Community input is vital to ensure this policy reflects local values and expectations.
