Wodonga Council manages a significant portfolio of property and good governance of this property is crucial for compliance and ensuring the interests of our community are at the forefront of decision making. The draft Property Divestment and Acquisition Policy consolidates two existing policies into one contemporary framework for property divestment (sale, exchange or transfer) and property acquisition (purchase, private treaty or compulsory powers).

The new policy will establish the objectives, principles, and processes by which Council will identify, assess, approve and manage the acquisition and divestment of land and built assets for the benefit of the Wodonga community.
