Why we're consulting

The Draft Wodonga Play Space Strategy 2024-2029 guides the provision, development and management of outdoor play spaces in public parks in Wodonga. It recognises the importance of public play spaces in ensuring that children are provided with the challenges and opportunities to develop their physical, cognitive, emotional and social skills.

Access to quality play spaces for the community supports the Wodonga 2033 Community Vision, fostering a connected, healthy and inclusive community.

The Draft Wodonga Play Space Strategy 2024-2029 builds on an earlier strategy. It considers the changes to local demographic profiles, population, land development and global changes impacting the need and usage of playgrounds and public open space, and reflects the works undertaken in addressing high and medium-high priority renewals.

We are now seeking feedback from the community as we look to finalise the document to allow for adoption and impletation of the strategy.
