Council is seeking community feedback on both the Draft Council Plan 2025-2029 and the Draft Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025-2029, in order to:

  • Ensure the plans reflect the community’s key needs and priorities, while remaining within available resources
  • Seek local knowledge and ideas
  • Build trust and transparency between council and community
  • Comply with legal requirements
  • Encourage community ownership and support

Background

In October 2024, a new councillor group was elected in Wodonga as part of the 2024 Local Government elections.

Aligning with the commencement of a new councillor group is the development of a series of strategic plans that help guide the council’s decision making. These plans include the:

  • Council Plan 2025 – 2029: The Council Plan 2025-2029 is the roadmap that will shape the future of Wodonga, building on the community's vision and guiding the council's direction over the next four years.
  • Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025 – 2029: The Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan (MPHWP) is a strategic document that outlines council’s direction and priorities for improving community health and wellbeing, in line with its legislative responsibilities.
