Notice of Intention to Sell Land

Wodonga City Council (Council) gives notice under Section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 (Act) that it intends to sell the land described below (Proposal).

The land which is the subject of the Proposal is Reserve No. 1 on the proposed plan below being part of the land contained in certificate of title volume 11092 folio 366, and known as part Baranduda Boulevard, Baranduda, Victoria 3691 (Land).

The Proposal is that the Land be sold by private treaty to North East Region Water Corporation on the following key terms:

  • A purchase price of $840,000 plus GST;
  • Payment of a deposit equal to 10% of the price;
  • Settlement will be due on the later of:
    • six (6) months after the day of sale;
    • thirty (30) days after registration of a plan of subdivision to create the parcel for the Land;
  • As a condition of sale, the purchaser must enter into an agreement with Council pursuant to section 173 of the Planning and Environment Act 1987, which requires the purchaser to:
    • Use and develop the Land only as a sewer pump station to service the growth area of Leneva Baranduda and surrounding areas, except that the Land may be used in accordance with the planning scheme prior to commencement of the specified development; and,
    • Complete the development once the sewer pump station is required.


A person may make a written submission on the Proposal. Any person proposing to make a submission must do so by Friday, August 22, 2025 at 5pm.
