The Minister for Local Government has formed electoral representation advisory panels to review the electoral structures of local councils. These reviews are known as electoral structure reviews.
The panel will present models in a preliminary report on which you can have your say. Then, taking in the requirements of the law, population data and your opinions, it will make a recommendation to the Minister for Local Government.
There are 39 local councils which must have their electoral structure reviewed. The reviews are being held in three rounds that will conclude in January 2024.
Wodonga Council is among the 39 councils having their electoral structure reviewed.
From Wednesday, July 5 you will have an opportunity to have your say on Wodonga's electoral structure review.
Visit the Victorian Electoral Commission site to learn more, join one of the information sessions and have your say.
