At the April meeting, councillors received feedback from the draft budget consultations that were undertaken in February and March.

We want to thank all those people that provided feedback in the development of draft budget.

Already included in the development of the Draft Budget 2023-2024 is improvements to change rooms at the Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre, inclusive of an adult change table and hoist, upgrades to Wodonga Tennis Centre courts, changing places, design for a flood levy in Les Stone Park and intersection planning in the Wodonga CBD.

In addition to this, councillors passed a recommendation to include money in the budget for the removal of the pine trees in Lawrence St.

The recommendation also included the establishment of a finance and budget committee for next year’s budget.
