Why we're consulting
Wodonga Council is renewing the playground in Alan Cracknell Park.
The council wants to know what playground users and the wider community think should be part of the equipment update.
Under our Playground Strategy, this space is categorised as a local park.
A local play space serves homes generally within 10 minutes’ walk or 500m for families and its primary purpose is for play and social recreation. They are important meeting places for local children, teenagers and families.
It should have shade, seats and tables, but barbecues, toilets and parking are not required as visits are likely to be of short duration and its role is serving homes within walking distance.
Background information
Alan Cracknell is in Allambie Crescent, it services residents at the southern end of Beechworth Road; between Pearce St and Huon Creek Road. It acts as a thoroughfare to Maneroo Court.
The park contains a large open green space, two swings, seesaw, springer and a slide.
